Busy...

Boy, have I been busy! Mailing presents and holiday cards, baking, cleaning, and much, MUCH more :)! And, on top of that, we've had a bug circulating through the family. Ugh. But, I'm thankful the holidays are just around the corner ♥ What are some of your favorite things about  the holidays? Our Dairy Queen is hosting a contest, and whoever colors the holiday pictures they hand out, the best, wins a whole ice cream cake!  If you win out of your age group, you win a kids meal, and you get an ice cream cone just for participating!!! I can't wait to see who wins :)
I'm sorry I've been neglecting my blogger friends of late ;) Hopefully, you won't have to wait so long next time for another post. In closing, I want to leave you with a potpourri recipe that the whole family loves. It smells sooooo good. Here it is:
~ Christmas-y Simmering Potpourri ~
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/4 cup whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons dried lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons dried orange peel
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  •  Place your potpourri–along with about a quart of water–in a medium saucepan or slow cooker. Simmer on low heat, adding water as needed. Remains effective for days. Happy Holidays!

This is so creative! Must try ♥
